Air Bag = how much drop?

I've seen this question answered before but I can't find the threads anymore. When changing from a coil spring to an air bag I believe there is an associated drop when the bag is at ride height. Most bags are around 6-8" at ride height, but I can't find what a factory compressed spring height is. Switching to air bags is what, a 2" drop? TIA!

I did both bags and spindles last time and I would say the bag was about 2.5-3" of drop on it's own. But it depends pn how the bag is mounted and what bag you are running.

Thanks, I was thinking it was about there. I'm going to be static for a while and wanted to look up some pictures for reference. I have D2600's and ECE 2.5" spindles on a factory 67. I guess I'm looking at about a 5" drop in the front then, thanks!

I can ride with a stance of about a 6/7 drop with my DOMs...this is about 40 psi in the front and 30 in the rear. It's a little bumpy though...with 45-50 psi in the front, it goes up about an inch but rides much smoother.

Great looking Blazer and thanks for the info. Looks like you have an SBC in there, is that true?

Pics would be great, I have a BBC with aluminum heads and I'm only running an alternator so maybe our front end weight might be similar if you have a dressed cast iron long block. Thanks again for the info.
