Visor Lube ?

My sun visors are hard to pull down. I used a silicone spray but it did not help much. Was wondering what can be used that will not damage my visors ?

use WD40 to clean out the old crap and carefully work them repetedly up and down to break free of the surface rust that causes the stiffness in it then followup with white lithium spray grease

Might help to slide visor off its "stem" & lube the stem itself.

To get off of the stem do you just pull and twist. Will WD40 or grease harm the visor ?

At least, that's opposite from the way they are installed. Do yours have a screw that adjusts tension on the stem?

No screws, This is a 67 if that makes any difference.
