Bagged, Bodied, & Blown 68 C10
Here is my newest project, a 68 C-10 Fleetside short bed. I bought it from a buddy at work back in July 2012. The truck is getting a complete overhaul and figured I’d start posting some progress. The po must have had such bad body roll with having the two front bags aired together as well as the back two.
Those rear tires show as being discontinued, as far as i can see, i hope you have an alternative tire size you want to go to in the future, because they stopped making that size, and no one else carries anything close to my understanding. Great looking build!! Posted via Mobile Device |

VERY nice. Will you just re-drill the rear axles and brake rotors to 5-lug? Or is there another option? Also,... what's up with the blazer in the background? |

Ok so I have a few set back concerning my motor, supercharger, and transmission combo. With how far back and high the motor sits with the Porterbuilt dropmember I am having terrible clearance issues with the block against the firewall, transmission/transmission tunnel, and the supercharger sitting well above where the hood will allow it. The firewall and transmission hump issues can be resolved with some pretty extensive sheetmetal work I wasn't really planning on doing. As for the supercharge, I gotta decide if I am better off going a different direction with the engine build. Any thoughts? Idea? Suggestions? What are peoples experiences with the porterbuilt dropmember and LS engine clearance with the firewall? any input would be greatly appreciated!:)

You need to call Porterbuilt and tell them whats going on I'm sure they can drop the engine down and move it forward an inch with different mounting hardware.
If so you might be able to get away with a standard rise Cowl Induction hood. You can resell any hardware you change out here on the board, people love porterbuilt stuff, it will sell fast. |

Usually the engine moves up and forward.
What LS oil pan are you using? What engine mounts? I agree. Call Nate Porter. |

The mounts are the LS style for the Porterbuilt dropmember I have. What mounts do I need? Also which pan are you referring to?
