Square Body Coil Over install?

My baby is a full frame off so I have a fully powdercoated frame/ crossmember etc.

I really HATE the air ride that I put into the truck.

Has anyone ever modifed their stock spring area and drilled the top of the spring cup and lower control arm to do a coil over in the truck?

I know there are lots of cross member kits out there but funds are tight and I don't want to have to try and get the crossmember out etc.

Any other thoughts on what to do other then just put coils in the front?

Thanks guys....

Try the suspension durum on the site. I've seen one square converted to coil over but it was custom fabbed

your correct but it's the idea. struts and shocks are not really all that different, remove the part of the cross member that holds the springs and add an extension for the top of the strut where the xmember was

That picture up there is a s10 frame the a arms are from michigan metal works. They are wider for the 50s chevy truck frame swap so the wheels don't look sunk in.
