Well after a few camping trips I've noticed my truck rides like crap I have a bel tech lowering kit with shackles and hangers the 3 4 sport kit. After grab ing some tables and chairs for my nephews gradation party today and parking the truck I decided to crawl up under there sure enough with the smaller trailer loaded with tables and chairs I'm riding on the bump stops. Any very cheap solution to this issue? Thanks

Cut off the bump stops and brackets. add bump pads to the frame. This will give more squat to get on the overload leaf.

Then Carry the heaviest stuff in the bed against the cab. Then the while suspension will do the work and not just the rear

Air shocks and shock support brackets will up your suspension height under load.

Make sure that you have a complete spring pack under there and that no one removed springs in the past?

I would trim or move the bump stops and get a set of helper bags for it.

Thanks for the suggestions the spring pack is complete this truck was my dads since new and mine for the past 14 years. The only thing in the bed on that picture above is just my truck box with a coupe of jack stands a suitcase tool kit and some random small tools probably weights with the box 70 pounds if that. Last night when we were loading back up while the trailer was empty i walked from the back to the front just my weight and had a friend watching the truck and when i got to about 2 feet from the fro t of the trailer were were on the bump stops.the trailer I have hooked up its about a 5x12 super light I think the tong weight is under 50 pounds.

Well went and got the springs have not installed them as of yet test fit one last night just to kinda see. Looks like I'm going to have to take the bump stop Mounts off as these look like they ride directly on the frame. I think it should be close to lowered height once the mount is off right now installed just riding on the mount it raised the one back half of the truck to about stock. Just gotta figure out how to remove the rivet with out my handy air chisel and divot cutter since it locked up in storage.

I added a couple of spring leafs and did a flip kit. May take one out yet I'll have to see how it rides a little more. I'm sure it will handle a load. I did this as the stock springs were mush and the truck would lean to which ever side it pleased. No more lean, will hand a load and still low.

I'd say that your leafs must be very tired..New leaf springs and you should be able to tow that light trailer no problem. I just had 800lbs of hardwood flooring in my truck with a flip kit and I was still about 2.5" away from the axle with bump stops removed.

Well I got the helper springs installed. Spent some time cutting the bump stop perches off last night always fun. Well ride height was effected the rear end is up about an inch and a half. At this point I could cut so e of the helper coil off but I will just leave it for now. I don't think the leaf springs are to worn I think the beltech hangers allow more squat and flex. For a $35 option these springs work real well the ride in the truck is a lot smoother so just need to get a load in her for the real test

Well got an update preparing for camping this week got the camper on the truck. Looks like I'm going to have to dump the 4 inch raise hitch and maybe find a 2 camper sits a little odd. I did take it for a short trip up to road and it is so much smoother and funny thing is it feels like it pulls easyer to might just be cause the ride isn't rough at all anymore.
