bondoing the tailgate trim ?
 
So like most of us with the brushed aluminium tailgate trim we have dents or something making it less then perfect so I question to anykne who has done it its it possible to bondo the imperfections and then paint it will it look good or sjould I not even try it ?

It has a coating on it its either anodized or clear coated,Once you get the coating off you can paint it tho.

Yea thoes are my intentions man I have some left over paint but I wana just c if it will look good b4 I do it

It's a thin metal that may crack the bondo ESP when you shut the tailgate. I would hammer it out and use as little as possible. Research different fillers and see what you kind find that will work the best.

I haven't did any bodywork for quite a few years now, but I wonder if you remove as much of the ding as possible,prepare, epoxy prime the trim and them use some 2 part putty if that would be safer. I would ask this to get moved to the body and paint section if I were you.

Its not hella baf to were I'd use a lot but its nowere perfect either but do ya thibk it wo Yuri ld work now I have a concern cuZ even that its very little that I use my tailgate I don't what pieces coming off after iys been painted n cleared

Your posts are a little hard to read. Might want to proof read them before you post. As far as the tailgate piece, try out a body hammer and dolly before you start with body filler (bondo). They will smooth out the majority of the dents. Good luck..
