Most trucks require pumping the gas a little when it is first started for the day.

Is your choke hooked up? Do you set the choke before you try to start it?

It's carbed. You have to pump when it's cold to get fuel in to start. Fuel injection has cold start injectors or fires the injectors once when cranked. Today's gasohol fuels evaporate out of the carbs alot quicker as well. Drains the fuel bowls quicker
