33's on an 86 k10 with stock suspension?

Is this possible? If not what's the best way to go about lifting it up just enough for the 33" tires? I really love the look of these trucks when the wheel wells are filled up.

I ran 12.50/33-15s on my '90 Blazer mounted on 10" wheels. I was concerned about front clearance, only because of the 10" wheels,so I went to the spring shop and asked them to level it up...lift front 1-2" and add a leaf. Worked great. I think with 8" wheels the tires work fine. If you do lift, just go with 2". It won't exactly looked lifted, just "healthy". You can also go with 10.50/33-15s or 285/75-16s (if you're buying wheels)

You can should be able to run 33x9.50 and 33x10.50 without rubbing. You can run 33x12.50 if you trim an inch off the rear inside of the front fender.

I have 285 75 16 on my 1990 2500 suburban. they rub the back bottom of the fenders...I think the springs have sagged a bit.

Shouldn't be much of an issue, but there are a few things to look for/pay attention to.

Sagging stock springs.
Collapsed body mount bushings.

And finally, perhaps most importantly, watching the backspace on the wheels you plan to run.

My K20 burb has a 4' lift, and I can run 36" tires on 10" rims with 6" of backspace, and they don't rub unless I flex the suspension pretty good. I have another set of 10" wide wheels with 2" of backspace, and the 35's on them rub easily when turning.

Easiest way to lift is a set of blocks on the rear, or a shackle flip kit (4" gain), and a set of springs in the front. Kits can be had for pretty cheap, and usually installed in a days time.

I to have ran my 77 stepper with 33's. The only time I ever had an issue was when my plow was on the front, I could catch the rear corner of the fender when on the brakes.

I actually like the look better then with my 4" and 35's that I have now.

If I dont go off road and have just a show truck, will I still need to do this fender mod with 33x12.50s?

So 33x12.50s will fit ok on 8" rally wheel?

If this is in the red truck shown in the avatar, that truck is lifted. Looks like 4" from here...if those are 33/12.50s on it.

Here is the '90 Blazer that I had the spring shop level by bringing the front end up 1-2". The tries would rub behind the front tires when turning while twisting. It would probably not have rubs with 8" wheels
