Trans leak question

I picked up a th350/203 to replace my junk trans. It looks like its leaking where the tc bolts to the trans, is this just a unbolt, clean up and rtv deal?

By "tc" do you mean "torque convertor?" If so, no, because the torque convertor does not bolt to the transmission: it simply slides over the transmission's input shaft into the pump. No fasteners of any sort are used.

At the front of the transmission, there are a number of places where it could be leaking:

- the torque convertor to front pump seal
- each bolt that holds the front pump to the transmission case has a small seal on it
- pump to case gasket
- o-ring seal between the pump halves that also seals to the case
- transmission fluid pan

I figured he meant transfer case.

Re: Trans leak question

It is leaking where the transfer case adapter bolts to the transfer case. Just wondering if I need to find a gasket, or if rtv will work here.
