Re: turbo 350 to 700 r4
I'm in the process of doing the same on my '70. I have a turbo 350 with a long tail shaft housing, after measuring everything it looks like my driveshaft is going to work. ( I had shortened it previously, when I changed the transmission to the long tail shaft ) The 700R4 transmission tails haft will work but you may have to short your driveshaft.

Re: turbo 350 to 700 r4
I'm sure someone else will chime in. But the long tailshaft on the 350 should be about 6" if it's the short tail shaft you'll have to shorten your driveshaft by 3" or so. Measure twice and have it made once. Perfect time to go to a one piece drive shaft.

Re: turbo 350 to 700 r4
I have been told that a long tails haft 350 will be a direct fit except moving the trans mount back a little. I have a 700 on my bench to put in my 69 in the next couple of weeks. I will let you know how that turns out if you are not in a big hurry.
