You need to remove the wheels,brake drums and then you can get to them.There are springs and retainers inside the drums.Keep track of what goes where,pictures are a must,a manual is really,really helpful.Then the brake line goes into them from the backside,remove that(you will probably need to work it a bit,they're usually pretty tight.A manual is really really helpful.A set of flare nut/line wrenches will help keep from stripping the fitting.Then there are two bolts that hold them to the backing plate.A manual is really really helpful.Some applications are left/right specific.Installation is the reverse of removal.A manual is really really helpful.Make sure the brake pads have not gotten brake fluid on them,if they have you shoud replace them.You might get them clean enough with brake cleaner but if you don't you have to tear it all back down.

only take one side apart at a time// so when you have the new cylinder in place and have to put back together you can use the other side as a referance of how it is assembled

^^ this. A digital camera is handy too.

When it comes time to bleed the system you might consider some "speed bleeders". Makes the job amazingly simple.
