Disk Brake Shield Seal?

I pulled the stock spindles off today, including the disk brake shield. There was a cork gasket between the shield and the spindle. I cant seem to find replacements anywhere. Are they really needed? What are they called? Couldn't find anything in LMC either.
Thanks,
Steve

I believe the only purpose they serve is to damp vibration and avoid rattles. Can't help you with the name, sorry!

ECE sells them for a whopping $2. Here is a pic with their part number. look under the option drop down box under disk brake backing plates. I could not find anything on Autozone etc. either

Do as I did. Go to parts store and buy the cork gasket and make as many as u want.
They also have black rubber gasket material to.
