just some cheap autopal 7" round housings ...check ebay there the euro style ones for $24

the hids are cheap as well there a kensun set that cost about $40-60 after shipping ....i went cheap on the housings and bulbs because it was my first time doing this and i wanted to make sure i got it right before i put out some real cash

overall im happy with this little setup, i think ill wait till it quits to do a better upgrade

heres the links to what i bought

I put AutoPals on my Datsun and regretted not buying the Hellas. Autopla light was good just plastic lenses. 4 Wheel Parts has the Hellas for $35 each.

sounds like a good setup but if i was you i would do a little research and build your own harness, its good practice and you can build it cheaper then what he sells if for, plus you gain experience and get to take pride in doing it yourself :metal:

Re: H4 Headlight Conversion

I think, all you have to worry about is the gauge of the feed wire, has to be bigger to handle more amps, IIRC. M&H built my relay harness, and i forgot to mention this to them, so, when i put those lights in ill go back and change that wire

I agree with sacramento, the more i get into the electrical side the easier it gets. With quality tools and connectors, it can be done in your garage. You always have the electrical forum down below to help you out. Great group of guys with lots of knowledge

They were a kit that came from Motorsport Auto over 10 years ago. Hadn't event considered looking to see what might be new. I LOVE the flat lens and general look of the Hella's and $10 more each can't sway me.

Funny thing is I don't have them on any Chevrolets! My '44 Willys MB has a 5" set, my '79 CJ-5 and my '52 M38A1 all have the Hella's. And I have another set for my '69 short step when I start driving it more (need to disc/5 lug swap). Guess I should get a set for my Camaros come to think of it.

Haven't looked into whether you can get a 2 separate light setup for the GMC, anybody?
