73-80 side molding
can any one tell me if its possible to run the 73-79? side molding on a 82?
i just picked up a reg cab dually and the older trim works much better with the 2 tone paint job in planning on doing this molding http://i1164.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4e44e5b8.jpg thanks in advance |
Re: 73-80 side molding
The only thing that may be awkward is the front marker light on the truck. It could be out of place but shaving it would solve that problem.

Re: 73-80 side molding
how about the rear fender?

Re: 73-80 side molding
The rear marker lights stayed the same for all years so they will line up just the same.

Re: 73-80 side molding
I was talking about the moulding that goes on the rear fender

Re: 73-80 side molding
The rear dually fender?

Re: 73-80 side molding
yea the curve molding there is it just a regular end piece? the one right before the marker light on the fender

Re: 73-80 side molding
I should line up just like the one in the picture. Even on at 82.

Re: 73-80 side molding
Front fenders are shaped totally different.

Re: 73-80 side molding
You're gonna have to swap doghouses for that to work. But that's not hard. All else will be fine

Re: 73-80 side molding
Front fenders and marker lights are different. Plus the trim pieces that attach to the dually flare are not made in the aftermarket and are hard to find in my opinion. The other bed pieces can be cut from a regular long bed fleetside.
