Painting wheels white.

Does anyone know the official white color of the white tops on the blazers? I guess it's sort of pure brilliant white???

How do I make sure it's s a close as possible if I'm doing it with a can? ALSO and importantly - are there any tips in terms of painting pre-primed wheels to get the best finish. I will of course remove grease and dirt dust etc, but I've never done any auto finish spraying before. Tips would be great.

1. Sanded/wire brush to remove old paint and rust.
2. Used POR-15 on the outer lip, around the valve stem, and where the center parts are riveted to the outer part of the rim.
3. Primed and painted GMC "pure white" from a spray can
4. Gloss clear coat

Do I need POR-15 if the wheel is new and pre primed??

Not if they're new/in primer. Just scuff them up well so the paint will stick.
