Shock mount end differences?

Does anyone know the difference between loop, and bushing & sleeve shock mounts ends?

I can't find anything, and Monroe doesn't seem to like answering emails.

Just guessing here, but I think loop ends go around a mounting stud like my 57 truck has, while bushing and sleeve is the type where the stud on the end of the shock is threaded and goes through a hole in the mounting bracket with rubber bushings and a steel washer on each side.

The second link that Oldcouple posted will get you to the pfd that shows almost every Monroe shock with the ends it has and the extended and compressed lengths.

If you aren't a Monroe fan the Monroe number will interchange with almost all brands to some extent.

Got all that, just wondering why one would have a bushing, and one wouldn't. What would be the two different installation types that would require the different ends.
