Sounds dumb that I just noticed this, but on the passenger side frame near the front I notice a big lip that doesn't exist on the driver side. See pictures below. Is this normal? Thanks all!

Like the others said. That's normal. Here's my 1965 C10 frame. Looks the same as yours.

My frame (1965) is the same....plenty of room for the 1/2 quart spin on and just enough room for the longer 1qt spin on.

It lines up with the oil filter for the L6 engines. The older style filters were longer I guess.

normal normal normal... is going to work great for AC clearance maybe too...

its not that older filters were longer its you are using the smallest/shortest filter made there are at least three different sizes that fit

Think again... Not enough room on my 6.0 and not worth cutting on the frame.

That was easy.... oh well.... A/C was on the last of a VERY long list of other things...

Wisconsin.... A/C = 2 or 3 weeks of the year it is really even useful.
