removing pw pl harness
If I unplug the actuator and window motor will the harness/plugs pull through the door jamb? If not how do I get the harness out without cutting the harness?
thanks |
Re: removing pw pl harness
They are a pita to pull through the accessory boot inside the door jamb. There are several retainging clips that secure the harness away from the window frame inside the door shell and along the outside as well. About a foot above the kick panel is where the main connectors are at to unplug the harness but they are pretty bulky pulling through the accessory boot....with a little patience it can be done.

Re: removing pw pl harness
I pulled mine, but I pulled the boots and all... Gonna find rubber plugs to put in the holes. You just have to go slow with it.... It is a PITA though

Re: removing pw pl harness
I did this without cutting any wires or taking apart the plug. I pulled the other end through the door jam (the square plug under the dash). To get it back through to reinstall it I taped a rope to it with electrical tape and pulled it through.

Just to mention not all trucks are wired the same, you may have to move some wires anyway,if reusing/swapping trucks,
