Wheelbase
Today I looked at a frame for a 1968 C-10 and the wheelbase measured approximately 133". I believe I read somewhere the shortbox was 115" and the longbed is 133". Can someone direct me to the right answer.
Thank you |
Shortbed was 115", longbed 127", & the Longhorn was a 133" wheelbase. The longhorn was an 8 1/2' box,& available in 20 & 30 series only, & will have leaf springs on the rear. crazyL:burnout:

133" Wheelbase
I still have questions about this long wheel base frame. I bought it to shorten it to the 115" wheelbase to fit my shortbed.
I can't find much info on this wheelbase configuration, only that it may have been a "Longhorn". I would feel silly to cut this frame down to the 115" and find out that it is a somewhat rare frame and should be preserved. Any suggestions or history is appreciated. Thank you, Merl |

The longhorn used the same chassis that would be found under a 30 series (133 wb) dump truck. The dump truck had dual wheels, & an extra stack of leafs.....otherwise, the spring lenght,& width spacing should be the same. crazyL:burnout:
