bulkhead connector

anyone know how to get this whole connector out? wires are all cut on the inside.
im rewiring the whole truck. 20 circuit kit. I tried everything to unlock it. thanks! larry |

when i took mine out i started at one edge and puckered it as i was pushing it through the hole. i came out throught the compartment side

Use a heat gun. The rubber gets hard as a rock over 50 years but a little heat can make it pliable again. Once heated and pliable you want to push it through into the engine compartment. Then you can remove the grommet and pull the connector back out.

this dude has all the parts if something goes wrong. he has a channel on youtube. "alternatorman" is his channel I think? now the the "off topic". when I was rewiring my starter I discovered a 5" crack along the bottom of the spark plugs. kinda threw a wet blanket on my project. |

just bought the truck about 6 months ago. been slowly restoring it. mostly safety things.
I was going to put a carbed 5.3 motor. next year. looks like im moving that project to the front burner. ill nurse this motor along till it gernades on me. larry |

already have a nice out door plant stand. lol! via 5.7 hemi block.
