Rear Sway Bar
 

Does anyone have pictures of their rear sway bar set up? I have a sway bar from a Camaro cuz I had read that other had done that. what I didn't notice was that they were all trail arm set ups. I sorta played around trying to mock it up but kept hitting the shocks. I know you clamp onto the rear end and the links to the frame with spacers. anyways any help is appreciated.

The Camaro one is too wide, it hits the shock mounts. I have one too, lol. I thought about cutting the shock mounts off and running a leaf spring plate with a shock mount on it, like on a car. Then building a crossmember for upper shock mounts. But it seems like a lot of work just to use this bar.

Would it mount pointing backwards? Or would it hit the other shock mount then? You might try a 92-00 suburban bar. Its 7/8" bar. In stock form it mounts under the frame. I can take some measurements if you need.

You could probably get away with mounting it on top of the axle. I plan on flipping the axle, and I want to run full exhaust, so I don't think it would be an option for me.

yeah that's what I thought. mounting it backwards just makes it hit the other shock. I should have done some better research before getting ahead of myself ha ha ha

bdiamond: do you have one installed or you own a suburban? sure measurements would be good if you have some the time. thank you.

I have a Blazer I had planned putting one on. Ended up getting a smoking deal on a pair of Belltech bars and installed them instead. I'll get measurements for you in a bit.

Center to center of axle bushings= 30.5"
Center to center of frame mounts= 37"
From the axle mount to the endlink mount =12"

the only difference is the endlinks are rotated 90* from this
