Best headers to use
I've got a 67 4x4 with a sbc auto that is going in it and I need to find some headers for it. What are the better ones to use?
Thanks |

Re: Best headers to use
C10Again,
I have used JBA 1815 on my 69 K10 4 speed. Shortie style center dump Super quality, do not see why they would not work on the 67 auto. Bruce |
Re: Best headers to use
Hedman recommended me part number 69092. Ive mocked them up and they look correct but I have yet to actually run them.

Re: Best headers to use
Just put a new set of Summit long tubes on mine. Easiest set of headers I've ever worked with. Went right on, and have been leak free for around 2 months or so. Not sure about the life on them, but fit perfect and worked great so far. I would assume they would fit a 67? I have a 71 Jimmy 4wd.

Re: Best headers to use
Just wanted to let you guys know that hedman part# 69092 will not work perfectly with a lifted 4x4! I tried to install them and the passenger side is hitting the shackle. I'm going to see if I can do some bending to get it to work but I'm a little worried about it.

Re: Best headers to use
Don't know if they are the best, my K20 with 350 has long tube Hedmans with a couple of coats of heat paint. Works for me.

Re: Best headers to use
My '72 has Headman Torque Tubes that have been on since '04.I had them ceramic coated, but only the flat black primer. Still doing their thing with nary a touch of a header bolt or collector gasket. I figure their pretty good
