Sway bar questions

Finally getting around to installing a sway bar. Anyway, I have a couple quick questions:

1. It seems like 3/8 bolts are a little smaller than the original rivets. Is it best to upsize the hole for 7/16? Or, should I just use 3/8 and not worry about it?

2. I ended up with 1" lowering springs in the front. Would I be better off using factory height brackets or lowering brackets? Or, will it really not make any difference?

Thanks!

Re: Sway bar questions

I just used 3/8" and they pulled the crossmember to the frame just fine, and have not come loose. Mines stock height so can't help you there. Glad your doing it, one of the best things we can do to these old trucks!

I have 2 1/2 drop spindles on mine. I used the stock height brackets with no problems.

Your stock brackets will do just fine. Try to use a 1 1/4" or 1 1/8" bar. The original 7/8" bar doesnt seem to do much
