Re: What happened??
You dropped the truck, the rearend is now closer to the transmission. As you decrease the driveshaft angle you are also decreasing the distance from the rearend to the transmission. Most people probably don't see enough of a difference to worry about it but you probably had the perfect storm and have the right combo where you are seeing a problem.

Re: What happened??
well think man the rear end moves up and down and as it does the shaft gets longer or shorter and now you have shorten the over all leangh. also some rears has a longer poinon shaft then others and it sounds like yours is from a heavy half or something more heavy duty

Re: What happened??

Re: What happened??
Are you trying to install the driveshaft with the weight off the wheels?
|
Re: What happened??

Re: What happened??
Sounds like driveshaft mod time.

You are straightening the angles out, which is favorable in terms of vibration. You will just want them equal and in opposite directions when done. K |
Re: What happened??
thanks guys,on the way to machine shop, drive shaft guy says may only need to shorten 7/8"? is that enough? also looks like I need shock extensions
|
Re: What happened??
I would do shock relocators before shock extensions. Have you corrected the shock angle yet?
