Trailering a cab
I'm picking up a '72 cab. I've reserved an open 6' X 12' trailer. I'll also be renting a pick up to bring back the front clip and engine.
Unable to rent (at this time) a larger trailer. My questions are: Can I fit the cab on a 6' wide trailer? If so; can I set on the floor and strap it down w/o damaging the underside? |
Re: Trailering a cab
I don't see a problem with that, I've seen pics on here with cabs in the beds of full size pickups.

Like HubScrub said the cab will fit in a full size pickup bed, but I have never hauled one that way. When I haul them on the trailer I always put a pallet under them. LockDoc |
Re: Trailering a cab
I hauled mine in the back of my pickup. If you have a pickup I would haul it in the bed.
I put a couple tires underneath it to protect the cab corners. 6x12 is way more than enough room. Put the cab on sideways, you will have more room than you know what to do with. |
Re: Trailering a cab
You can fit all your bringing home just in the trailer .:smoke:

Re: Trailering a cab
I put mine in an s-10 short box, used tires and ratchet straps to stabilize. The tailgate shut, and it rode fine for 100 miles back home.
