Wheel caster
Does anyone know how to adjust wheel caster on a '85 C10 2WD? What is the stock spec? My truck feel like it needs more .

Caster cant really be adjusted with our trucks. They make adjustable ball joints I believe though. There are a few threads on here how to modify the arms to move the ball joint (or arm forward). |

Re: Wheel caster
You are correct but with our trucks you wont be able to get enough without throwing out some other aspect of the alignment.
Here is a good thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=501241 Or look at Rob from No Limit's JT build. |

Re: Wheel caster
My Suburban loves a lot of Positive Caster, Mine is set about 5 degrees, That is max while keeping Camber in check on my truck.
I Believe 3/4 tons have more adjustment because of the ride height. The negative is the tires will talk to you on "Full Lock" turns. The factory specs don't mean jack, Keep Camber around 0 degrees, Get all the Caster you can, Then set the Toe-In 1/8" to 1/4" total Toe-in works great. Not many shops will deviate from Specs, They believe their fancy machine & Specs will make your truck drive good, Find an old front end shop with a "Lite-A-Line" & a In-Ground Scrub Meter for Toe-In. |
Re: Wheel caster
It does not pull, there just is not any road feel and steering wheel does not want to return to center when letting go from a sharp turn.

Re: Wheel caster
Did someone adjust the steering box too tight?
