Leaf spring drop shackles amount of drop

I am getting ready to order some leaf spring drop shackles for my '64 GMC. I see Performanceonline.com sells a 2" drop shackle for $69, While ECE list there drop shackle as 1.5" for $59.

Are these the same part? and if so why is one listed as 2" and the other 1.5"?

Anyone have these to confirm the amount of drop? I want the one that will give the most lowering, but I have a feeling they are the same part.

I had the ECE shackles for a while. Every time I hit a bump, they would bottom out on the underside of the bed (not every time, but often enough). I would imagine a 2" drop would be worse. Finally just bought the drop leaf springs from ECE (4" to go with drop spindles and drop coils up front). All is well.....

Do you have a truck or suburban? I wonder if the sub will have clearance issues too. That's the first I've heard of them having clearance problems.

I had a long bed fleetside. Not sure if the 351E trucks were different than others, but I had nine leafs vs. seven. Don't know if that had anything to do with it, but the top of the shackle was only a couple of inches from the underside of the bed and would hit the bed on hard bumps. As the wood was original (old), I didn’t care but it was dinging it up pretty good. After I started fixing things up and replacing suspension components and bed wood, etc. I went with the lowered leaf springs so things wouldn't knock together....

Interesting. My suburban has seven leafs and I planned on removing the 3 smallest leafs if and when I install the shackles.
