Transmission Yolk ?

How much the yolk should be sticking out at the transmission? Would the amount sticking out be the same as my 85 K5 4x4? Do these take a longer yolk then a car would, have yolk out of a turbo 350 that was in a car. Truck is a 81 C20 that I swapped in a 700R4. Switching to a one piece drive shaft. Rear is a corporate 14 bolt full floater. My truck had a turbo 400 with a two piece shaft. I don't want to cut the shaft just in case the 700R4 doesn't work out.

Thanks,
Eric
