2'' lift ???
Hi all, was thinking of lifting my 72 Jimmy 4x4 slightly, around 2 inches in the front and maybe a little more in back. Just curious what brands others have used and how they liked them, really want to keep it driveable, its all stock now, 106,000 miles on the truck so don't think springs need re-arched just think it needs a little height to look right. I looked thru some posts but they where mostly older and just wanted a fresher opinion. thanks.

Re: 2'' lift ???
I put a 2 1/2" Skyjacker lift, on my blazer when I first built it.
Eventually went to 6". The small lift rode great. Still easy to get in and out of. It comes with a 4" spring for the rear, to level the blazers/jimmys stance. |
Re: 2'' lift ???
Thanks, it definitely needs to be leveled out in my opinion, but I know a lot of people like the stock stance.

Re: 2'' lift ???
My 72 Jimmy came with a tow package positive leaf (one more than standard) up front and a extra leaf in the back and it sits about two inches higher than one without tow package.

Re: 2'' lift ???
Next set I'll be buying will Be Alcan springs. They give you the normal spring ride of stock But with the lift you want it to Have. I'd give them a call directly or call off road design for them to Build you a set. I've heard they ride the best out of all aftermarket springs but are more expensive. But for the ride quality from people that have them they say it's worth it.

I used a 2 1/2 inch spring lift from tuff country and it rides great and fit 33x12.50 15s with no rubbing and a nice stance.Attachment 1341308
