I'm looking for a new master cylinder booster combo, this one looks like a good deal on Ebay. Anybody use this? Any feedback would be appreciated.

That picture looks really familiar lol I just ordered that booster two days ago. Should be here in a week, but won't be able to install and use it until I get the firewall painted and brake lines ran.

Thanks for the response. Let me know what you think about the quality once you receive it. My firewall is all painted up and ready for a booster and would like to know if it is a quality piece.
Cheers
Ken

it looks a lot like the one i purchessed from NAPA last year for my 3/4 ton 70 GMC. Works great. I'm happy with mine.

Re: Anybody use this Booster Master combo

I have the entire 4-wheel disc kit (with that booster and master) from the same eBay vendor on my '68.

I have no complaints with mine, the install really seemed to go smoothly and the quality was better than I expected for the price I paid. I don't have very many miles on the set-up at this point, but it has been trouble free so far! You'll probably want to paint the master cylinder and proportioning valve bracket before installation.......the master will start getting surface rust quickly if you don't.

The installation is on page 5&6 of my build thread.....I had to find an adapter for the proportioning valve output but that part number is in the thread too if you need it.

Please ignore the ugly firewall......I hope to get that MUCH better looking when the engine swap (finally) happens.

I hope that helps.

Thanks Pick. I checked out your build thread nice truck and good upgrades. It's funny you machine turbines for a living. I operate and maintain industrial gas turbines. We operate both Rolls Royce and Solar industrial gas turbines. Not many people understand what goes into making a turbine work.

Very interesting! We do CFM, GE, and Pratt right now......but we may also be getting back into the Rolls business again soon as well.

Yea with the Rolls Royce Energy Turbine and Gas Compressor business being bought out by Siemens you could see some Rolls business coming your way.

Use an actual Truck part supplier.

or try one of the vendors on the vendor list on this site.

Kennuck,I got that booster and master in today. A lot sooner than I thought. It looks great and looks like it has quality pieces on it. Hope this helps in your decision.

Installed the one in the link. Looks like the same one only mine is chrome.
I had to order a new proportioning valve since I went to all disc brakes. The brake light switch had to be modified for the connection to work on it.

7 in dual diaphragm booster with standard master and prop valve for disc-disc. Works like a champ.

Fitz,
looks like we both used the same setup. I took the plastic stop light switch out of the valve and trimed the plastic down so the factory connector would work on it. It works fine.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I ordered a reman booster and master today, decided to keep it stock. Sounds like this would be a good option though.
