Suburban and truck frame

I would like to eventually replace my font crossmember and suspension parts... Found a suburban front end for cheap, so i thought about powdercoating while i can still have mine on. Is the a difference... I know the rear is different

I can't swear to it, but I think the front crossmember and a-arms are the same. I used the parts from an 81 suburban to give my 64 suburban disc brakes. Pretty much a bolt-together affair.

I did the same as you, sand blasting everything, and replacing every ball joint and bushing while it was all apart. Boy, that new front-end is tight!

Yes, I put an '89 Suburban 1500 crossmember, suspension, spindles and brakes on an '84 C-10 frame with no problems. Even gave me the 1.25 inch rotors.

Yes, the rear part of the frame angles downward making the hitches different. Also the gas tank area, rear spring hangers and body mounts. It would be safe to say Suburban frames are different from the transmission crossmember back.
