Do you know of a place that will re-do the bright-dip to factory spec? For years there was a place in North Hollywood called Ano-brite that did this work, but they closed up awhile back.

First three are one of the door moldings, I have more so will look tomorrow, has a few dings. The bed molding has no dings and the only reason its dull is from that purple clean. Straight but just some little waves when you eye it up down the side, its the best used one I have.

That purple stuff is pretty strong. Its hard for me to see the waves you are seeing. What do you think caused the waves? The one deep dent in the door trim might be a hard one to repair or does the picture make it look worse than it is.

Hard to say , something leaning against it ? I have taken some NOS ones out of wrappers and seen similar waves . Its my opinion you should just try to find NOS if you want better than this . If your looking for arrow straight buy the ones in the paper wrappers for the best chance of getting a good one . The ones in the green rubber I've found to be pretty wavy. I just scored a bunch of the wide short bed upper moldings and they are super straight. A few guys criticized the fact that they had a web address on the label, I'll take those any time !!

I've done a little bit of trim straightening, and from my perspective the deep but localized dents are much easier to repair than general waviness. This type of repair does require refinishing, but if you were gonna do that anyway, who cares. just sayin.

I wish I could find a NOS. I am having my trim pieces striped and redone so I am looking for the best trim available to start with. PM sent
