will 79 and 84 interchange?
 

Hi I was wondering if sheetmetal off a 84 2wd will fit on a 79 4wd (front end, bed etc.) Will them years interchange? Thank you.

fit yes, small changes though. turn signal lights on the front fenders will be horizontal instead of vertical. the hoods are different. some others. i found the differences pretty quick on google

With the bed the earlier years used a gas cap on the side and the later years used a gas door,You can swap beds but you need to swap filler necks they are different between the gas cap and gas door styles.

I believe 79 is the first year for gas door
