Hooked up my dolphin gauges but my speedo off the computer at idle not moving it pegs at 145 mphs and moving at 20 mph 8ve followed the calibration steps hasnt helped have not called dolphin yet do i need to tap off the vss at the transmission?

What input does it want? The vss is a 4k signal I belive, if the gauges expect different, it won't read properly.

Certain changes can be made in the tune as well if the gauges don't have variable input.

i do not know whqat the gauge wants as its not in the book and there customer support is not that great, right now i have it hooked to the computer wire and it wont read pegs 145 not moving and sit at 20 moving off the computer wire, i've done the calbartion the book says but it did not help

those dont help as mine is the one touch speedo it doesn't have the pin switches

Did you look at this one?

They have some explantation on how the pulse signal is made. Its a bit confusing but it looks like which wire is hooked up determies the rating. I see 4,8,16k pulses being possible if I read this right.

Otherwise in the "speedometer" tab in HP Tuners you can alter the VSS output signal to 8 or 16 to match the gauges. Whoever did your tune should be able to make this change in about 28 seconds if his fingers are all broken.
