radiator replacement
What radiators are you guys running? Looking to order one today.. Was thinking about a champion with an electric fan. I will be running a 355/4l60 combo.

Re: radiator replacement
I used a Champion from an eBay vendor. Great price and plug `n play fit. Integrated oil cooler but I left them plugged cuz I run a T5.

Re: radiator replacement
Also Bought the champion from eBay.
I will need to modify the saddles though. |
Re: radiator replacement
The OP question and replies made me remember the comments made in this post. I'm not saying Champion radiators are bad. I have an original Harrison radiator that I hope will perform well enough, but I think I'd go with a Griffin instead. It's good to have options.

Re: radiator replacement
Like the radiator with the side flanges forestb. I to am looking for a radiator. Called Champion and was told an EC284 will fit our trucks but I don't think it has the flanges on the side. I would have asked but i was at work at the time so I will have to call them back. Can any one confirm this or have a part number for a radiator with the side flanges.

Re: radiator replacement
It's good to know US Radiator has a nice unit for these trucks. I have used them in past hot rod builds. :)

Re: radiator replacement
I made a search of this site in the past and found a lot of us like the one from engeneered cooling products. I bought one too. Great radiator, good price. Ordered it online at speedcooling.com I did have to modify the lower saddles and the top mount is a tight squeeze but other than that no problems, and 20 degrees cooler than before.

Re: radiator replacement
Lots and lots of opinions. Anywhere from 180-210 is what I find. Run my 327 at 195 for what it's worth.

Re: radiator replacement
Griffin radiator and Lincoln Mark VIII electric fan...I like about 180 degrees

Re: radiator replacement
Not if you use the eastwood radiator paint..it is thin enough to go on there without affecting the cooling

Re: radiator replacement
we make made in the USA aluminum radiators, using domestically sourced materials. Each unit is TIG welded by hand, and we NEVER use epoxy or plastic in our rads. You can see feedback from customers on this forum, and ours are a direct fit and we never charge for building them to accommodate engine conversion (ie: no extra cost for LS ports, steam port, or built in trans cooler). We also offer a discount for forum members!!
