C-60???

1 Attachment(s)
Hi I'm new to this site , but trying to find information on a dump truck I just bought. It's a 1969 GMC 6000 I think it's a C-60 not sure though. This is my first dump truck and I've got a few problems already. I just purchased a reman. hydrovac booster the other day for it. Then I had to replace the u-joints and knuckles now I think the hydraulic pump went out. Something is knocking really bad under the truck when I engage the dump. I pulled the pto off thinking it was it but it looks ok the hyd. pump is shot I think I can't turn it all. Where can I find parts like bearings and gaskets for the pto and hydraulic pump? It's a Chelsea pto, if at worst case where can I find new parts? Thanks for all help.

Nice looking truck.

C-60 is a Chevy indication. GMC's have their own, but your truck is about equal to one.

What is the GVW on it?

Someone should be jumping in soon to help you with the parts you need.

1-800-453-5703. Six States Distributors

They supply a lot of drivetrain parts and pto stuff, can even custom build you something if needed

It actually looks heavier. I would have guessed a little more.

Welcome to the site by the way.

So what would it be if it's not a C-60?

Hydraulic pump and PTO parts are usually a specialty vendor that deals in dump body parts .

Your VIN should have a 5 or 6 as the third digit. There are businesses that specialize in hydraulics. They are often known as bearing & transmission shops. They sell everything from pumps, to hoses, valves, fittings, bearings, seals, or any part involved in hydraulic transmission of power. Some will deal with the ptos. Otherwise, you will need to talk to an upfitter, such as a truck body works... The kind of shop that installs and/or builds bodies/equipment on cab & chassis trucks.
