Limited Slip Differential.

Anyone have thoughts on using a factory Posi in a 7.5 28 spline rear end compared to an aftermarket Posi or Tru-Trac?

Yes I have thoughts. Stock late model "posi units" are anything but. They use a weight system to lock the side gears. around here they are called "whizbangs". The design allows for one tire to lose traction and start spinning. Thats where the weight system comes into play. the shaft the weights are on starts spinning and then engages the locking parts. so after this when the lock engages it shocks the other tire and in my experience it usually starts to spin too. I would hold out for an aftermarket plate type posi. I grabbed the image off of ebay
