I pretty much came to the conclusion if the add doesn't have a phone # you will never get a response..
A few months ago I was looking for a riding mower and s10 trans, 8 emails sent no response from any of them, some were sent within an hour of being posted some of the adds have been reposted several time since then...

Call the Denver PD and tell them "I found a license plate on the road. The plate # is 172 CAC. Can you tell me where the owner lives so I can return it to him?"
