Drop measurement question?

Hey guys, I am trying to find out what the distance between the bumbstop and the axle u-bolt is for guys running a 4" or 5" drop with out a c-notch. The reason I ask is, the PO thought it would be a good ideal to cut the center coil out of the rear springs and weld them back together, so I have no idea how much of a drop this is. I like the ride height and would like to keep the same drop, but definitely need some new springs and don't want to have to c-notch the frame. The way it sits, I have 1 1/2" between the bumbstop and the axle u-bolt. The center of the fender lip to the ground is 29 3/4" with 275/60 15's on 15x8 rallies. I have 2 1/2" between the tire and the fender. This is on my 72 2wd SWB fleet. Thanks guys.

And forgot to mention, the gas tank is in the cab. No extra weight in the rear.

Re: Drop measurement question?

I have a 275/60 on my red '69.
It has ECE 6" drop springs and 1.5" lowering blocks.
My measurement is 27-1/8" at the rear wheelwell.
