308 rear end
 
REAR END IS SOLD PENDING PAYMENT TO MRWELD

I have a rear end 308 ring and pinon and all hardware for sale. asking 125.00 plus shipping. I took it out of the rear end housing

Just the ring and pinion or is the carrier included?
what rear end is it for? 12 bolt? Do you have pictures

Everything except the housing. It would cost too much to ship the housing so I got read of the housing as junk. carrier included

Hey George,

quick question, will this just bolt in or will adjustments/ setup be needed? I.e. backlash adjustments , etc.

Steve, you will need to set up the preload on the side carrier bearings and the pinion bearings. All that is required on the pinion is a new crush sleeve, but the side bearings use shims. If you are not replacing the bearings, you should be able to reuse the shims that were there. I would not advise reusing the crush sleeve though. Oh, and a new pinion nut or some loctite on the existing one.

Thanks for the quick answer! Is something that can be done by someone who has never done it before?
