Re: Thoughts on this ECM location
Nothing wrong with it but why not just go under the seat with it. Save the hump panel.:chevy:

Re: Thoughts on this ECM location
Ditto..under the seat..not a bad idea though..wouldn't be nothing wrong with that but I would put some insulation under it because that will get pretty warm from the trans heat.you would have to use "high" hump carpet

The floor under my seat is well represented by audio equipment so I mounted mine in the upper left corner on the inside of the fresh air channel behind the dashboard. The bottom hangs slightly below the dashboard and is hidden behind an a/c vent.

Re: Thoughts on this ECM location
I moved mine from my inner fender, to on the passenger side inside-footwell area. Unseen from outside the truck, no real cost to passenger legroom, unless they have size 20 feet.

Thanks for the ideals

Re: Thoughts on this ECM location
Mine is in the glove box. I cut the card board part for the connectors to fit into the ECU and hold it tight up against the back part of the box. I have room for small stuff.:chevy:

Re: Thoughts on this ECM location
I installed mine in that basic area My gas tank is removed so it is all the way at that back wall. When I first did mine I was using a tuner and had to send the pcm back and forth (just return my old one) and this became a pain as it was not real convenient to get to. Keep that in mind of course once it is done you really don't need to swap much except for changes. I am now tuning my own so I can just plug into the obdii port and not worry where the computer is.

I made a bracket to mount it at an angle behind the glove box and trimmed the cardboard liner so it can still be used as a glove box.
