Might help to know what year chassis you are wanting to put it in.
I like the 73-87 better as it's easy to go down to the discount auto parts store and get parts when needed, not to mention they are cheap to get.

I'm sorry it's a 1964 c20

There would be no point in swapping out your 64 crossmember for a 63 crossmember.
Additionally, 73-87 parts are less expensive.

You need to swap out the C 20 cross member if you are going to 1/2 ton suspension. The lower control are bolt up differently. You can use any cross member from 63 up to 87. The later model cross members need a few holes drilled oblong.

yea thats the reason for the swap, already have 1/2 ton rear in, a little intimidated when it comes to the front...

Oh, okay,
If you want 6-lug, then the 63 crossmember would be the simplest swap. Should bolt right up.

Although. ECE sells spindles that allow you to use 6 lug rotors on your C 20.

Looking to convert your ¾ ton Truck to ½ ton front suspension? We are proud to introduce the only C-20 to C-10 2½" Drop Spindles available on the market. (disc brakes required).
Over the years, we’ve had many customers with C-20 8-lug Trucks that would like to convert over to the better riding C-10 suspension and change their wheels to either a 5-lug or 6-lug bolt pattern. These new Conversion Spindles allow you to upgrade to C-10 front disc brakes on the ’60-’70 model Trucks, and give you the option of 2½" front Drop Spindles for the same price without having to change your tie rods and ball joints.
