fuel guage issue
 
hi guys i have a question ,just bought a 69 stepside & had an aftermarket underdash fuel guage installed ,i just ordered the original from lmc , iam going to use the same wiring on the after market unit which has the 2 (p)&(n) wires plus the sendin units wire ,now i just want to connect the wires directly to the unit not to the circuit board which doesnt look good & i dont want to connect the wires wrong & mess up the gauge i tried loading a picture but iam not to pc friendly yet ,,please help thanks

do you plan on plugging it into the connector that goes into the printed circuit, or straight up to the fuel gauge

yea i just want to connect strait up to rear of fuel gauge ,cause the tabs that are for the fuel on the curcuit are all gone ,they were distroyed ,the only ones cause the rest i cleanup good & are working ,,,thanks

i think positive wire goes to post A on my diagram ,negative wire on B ,& the sending wire unit on C , i just want to get them strait or else ill end up burning the guage which is new ,,,thanks

You can check this link and I think you will find that the connections are as follows.

A. Is the sending unit
B. Is positive.
C. Is the gauge ground.

It doesn't show the ground but it's there.

Just out of curiosity, which connector is which on the back of the fuel gauge.
