Any thoughts on how low?

I have a 1987 Chevy shorty, I have lowered it 3" in front with springs. I am thinking about 3" more with spindles. Will this be to low to drive? I did a rear end flip as well, back is lower than front as of now. Any thoughts?

They can be driven @ that height but will make contact with the road. How fast you're going & how solid the irregularity in the road surface will determine the extent (if any) of damage done.

For daily driving, you'll want the front x-member farther from the road surface which means more extensive mods.

go with 2.5 western chassis spindles.....6" would be to low

How tall of a tire are you running? You might be fine with ground clearance on a 30 inch tire (but will have fender clearance issues) vs a 26 inch tire.

x2 on what SCOTI said, if you want to go that low on a daily you will really want to look into raising the front crossmember. PB is your best bet.

I have a different truck, so its not a direct comparison, but I drive mine on a ~4.5/6" drop and never ran into much of an issue bottoming out. I wouldn't even consider it all that low with a mid-profile 15" tire.

4.5" front drop is mild. 6" is trouble for the daily depending on where you reside ( how smooth/nice the roads are).
