Vent Window paint

I have rebuilt a few vent windows and have been using automotive base and clear. I am wondering if the factory windows had a gloss finish or mat? I haven't seen an original set that was in good enough shape.

Well mine where done by Precision and they don't have a clear, it's just a black finish with a very small amount of gloss to it.

I saw that they were just using a semi gloss, or matt...wonder what OEM was....matt would be easier for sure

Should be low luster BLK on the in side area where there where painted, the out side area was semi gloss same as inner fenders.

I used rustoleum satin black on mine, it looks correct.

That would be a lot easier than what I am doing now.

The only downside was the dry time. I let them cure a few weeks to make sure the paint had fully hardened before I put them back together, it was just too much work to risk screwing up the finish.
