What do these wire go to?
 

Trying to figure out what the three green wires go to? I know they look kinda scary at the fire wall. 69 c10

I do believe those go to the backup light switch on a manual transmission

The truck was a manual but converted to auto. Can they be reused for the auto?

A truck with an automatic has the switch on the steering column, you could remove those wires completely and unhook the same inside the cab on the fuse box and reroute them to the column mounted neutral safety/ backup light switch.

That melted tan wire above them looks scary to me.

I agree with you there at some point the po had an issue. Will probably need to put at least an engine harness in there.

I was looking at redoing my harness in and you can get most of the primary wire and the correct terminal connector for the firewall plug (part #CT712 line:Bwd) at Oreilly.
The terminals are $0.56 each
