DOES ANYONE HAVE A PIC OR DIAGRAM SHOWING WHERE I AM SUPPOSED TO DRILL THE PINHOLE? THANKS GUYS I WILL CHECK BACK TOMORROW MORNING |
Re: >>>where do i drill hole for diy vented gas cap<<<
If the carb is flooding, you more than likely have a sunk or stuck float. Randomly drilling holes in things isn't going to fix it, and get rid of the caps

Not shure on the gas cap drilling ..but I would check the carb float bowl and check that the needle is seated properly and adjusted right..

I had a similar problem on my 67..
The cap installed by the PO was unable to vent adequate pressure, resulting in gas forcing itself into the carburetor and eventually into the crankcase. I used a NAPA cap (p/n: BK 7031220) to remedy this. It worked like a charm! No more contaminated oil or carburetor flooding. Hope this helps! |
