Need Help! 3/4 Ton rear disk brake conversion

I've been searching here and on other sites about converting my 78 K20's rear drums over to disks and the more I read the more confused I'm getting. I found a bracket kit from Off Road Design but like most of these bracket kits you need to add a drive shaft brake or similar which is something I'd like to avoid. I'm also given to understand that one can use eldorado calipers and maintain their e-brake which sounds good until you realize that these things are expensive in comparison to regular calipers. I'm also understanding that I could swap out my corporate 14 bolt with a newer AAM 10.5 or 11.5 and gain back the e-brake but will have to re-position the spring perches.

So far, am I correct in these assumptions? Have I missed anything? Any suggestions?

Just make sure that rear axle is 2010 and older,2011 they changed the bolt pattern to metric.

Anyone ever hear of Right Gear & Axle? They make an adapter plate that will allow you to mount the backing plate, e-brake, hub & brake assembly from an AAM 10.5 or 11.5 on a GM Corp 14 bolt FF.

I called them several times to get some but they seemed less than interested in making anymore. I even asked if I could buy the cad file and they didn't have one saying someone else makes them for them.

We decided to make our own for the HO52/72 axle.
I'm not sure ours will work on a early 14 bolt but the housing end looks the same on the HO axles. I suspect it will need a different rotor than we use.

Take a look at this and see if your interested in working with me to make a kit for the swap.

This is for the HO axle with slide on drums

Id like very much to see pics of this!! It sounds like a good alternative to expensive calipers. Id like to see pics of how you activate it in the cab as well. Thanks.
