I put an 18" fan on mine and it just fits the shroud. If you're gonna be driving that thing around Oakdale CA during summer, I'm thinking it better to re-route the tranny lines and get a bigger fan. Hayden fans seems to carry that warning. Mine did too, but I ignored it. I ultamely went with a clutch fan. There are too many horror stories of flex fans pitching a blade when the rivets give out. Many of those stories can be found right here on this site.

You will have to have a shroud on that one...Central Valley Summers are brutal and if you get stuck in traffic, the shroud will be imperative!

I don't think I will use the hayden fan.If I go that route I will purchase a flexalite fan and one of their spacers.Whats the best way to wire an electric fan?I have converted my truck over to the one wire altenator.
