Sorry, its out of an 85 one ton truck.. Some one is selling it and I have a 71 blazer that has a th350 w/ np205 but wanting to swap to a manual to hook up to my np205...

Re: sm465

that should be a 10 spline output shaft

im not sure if the th350 had the same adapter bolt pattern for the adapter as the manual trans but if so or not, you'll need the 8 bolt "race track" pattern adapter and change your coupler. The th350 is a 27 spline, you need a coupler with a 10 spline for the 465.

I like manuals and applaud your swap, however; i believe that if you are looking to make such a swap the NV4500 is well worth a look especially since I view the automatic to manual swap a fairly work intensive conversion.

Regardless, good luck with your project!

Thanks, I was gonna order the adapter from offroaddesign.com for the swap and hopefully the coupler.. I'm trying to do a same length swap so I don't have to cut driveshafts. I would like to put an nv4500 behind it but not in my budget right at the moment.. Thanks for the swap compliment!

Find the adapter at a junk yard and save a bunch of money. They are very common. Buy the coupler from ORD tho.

Re: sm465

found another guy selling in my area an 85 sm465 with an np208 attached. Would this hook up to my np205 off my 71 blazer?

Re: sm465

That's a $250-400 combo. Personally, I wouldn't be afraid to run the 208 in a basic street rig. The 205 is tougher and will bolt up to the adapter but you'll need to change the coupler and probably remeasure for driveshafts. I think a new coupler can be had from ORD for about $100?? I would do some measuring and see which combo fits best with the drive shafts. Have you found a 3rd pedal set up? What about clutch linkage?
